I’d previously posted a scan of this photo on the blog, which is how they found it.
I’m thrilled to be included in the magazine, even if it’s just a tiny photo I took back in my college days. BTW, my friend Kevin Westenberg is a staff photographer there. (He’s an amazingly talented photographer, check his web site!)
Bokeh is a photography magazine that’s only available on the iPad. They’ve published articles and images by me in their first two issues. They’ve just announced their first contest, the Fan Photo Challenge.
(Don’t click on the above banner to link to the contest, just click the link below.)
There are some nice prizes so head on over to the Bokeh Magazine site to find out the rules and other details. Good luck!
Bokeh – The Art and Life of Photography issue number 2 is now available for the iPad. And once again, they’ve included an article and photos from yours truly. This one is titled How To: Music Photography and features my photos of HK bands FBI and Heta Uma, HK star Teresa Carpio and global stars Jeff Beck and Flaming Lips.
It’s normally US$7.99 per issue or $24.99 for a subscription but I’ve got a code you can use for a free three month subscription. Here’s how it works:
1 – Download the Bokeh magazine app from the iTunes store here (link is to U.S. iTunes)
2 – Run the app on your iPad and click on Subscribe.
3 – Click on Existing Subscriber
4 – Enter this code in the box: bokehtrial3651231
The magazine will start downloading. If you enjoy it, please spread the word!
As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Bokeh is a new iPad-only photography magazine. My words and images are featured in the first issue.
Now you can get the first issue for free – but you’ll need to act fast.
Just download the free iPad app from iTunes. After you’ve installed it on your iPad, run the app and click on “subscribe”. You’ll have an option to redeem a coupon code and here’s the code to use:
But hurry, the code is only good until August 22nd.
Bokeh is a new iPad-only photography magazine.
It’s got an article and some photos by me in it – some of my pictures of the Hong Kong skyline and how I took them. I’m not an employee of the publisher or a member of the magazine staff, just a contributor. Available via iTunes here, it’s one of those deals where the app download is free and then each issue, or a subscription, is an in-app purchase.
The other articles in the first issue are:
- Living the Dream – Motivation and Inspiration by Tony Luna
- Ken Merfeld Collodion – Persistence and Determination can Shape a Career
- How to Take Sharper iPhone pictures
- Oh! Snap Studios – How to Stumble on a Winning Business Idea
I may be biased (for obvious reasons) but I think this first issue looks really good.
