Exhilarated and Exhausted!

Today is the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong bar The Wanch.  They’ve been doing a series of anniversary concerts and events all week long and booked me to shoot last night and tonight.  Last night’s triple threat bill of The Delfino Trio, The Sleeves and the reunion of The Bastards was a night of classic bar band rock ‘n roll, the type that’s all too hard to come by in Hong Kong on a regular basis.  I was on my feet shooting for almost seven hours!   And tonight I get to do it all over again!

I won’t have time to process all the photos for a couple of days but until then, here’s a preview, various members of The Bastards relaxing outside The Wanch after playing two high energy sets for way longer than two hours.

Sounds like fun – now, you have an idea what its like to be a wedding photographer!

Maybe being a wedding photographer is harder work! You have to pose and direct. Concert/band photography, I’m just letting things unfold as they will and capturing them.

Very true, Spike, but as a wedding tog you can select where the people are and have a certain control of the lighting :)
