On July 3rd, I had a lunch time meeting in Causeway Bay and returned home in the late afternoon. The skies were amazingly clear in Causeway Bay and even though I was tired, “duty called” and I went back to Fei Ngo Shan (aka Kowloon Peak), getting there around 6 PM. The sun had started going down and the light was just horrible on HK island – just completely flat and lifeless. But I was already there and thought I should stick around for what some call the “golden hour” – as day turns into night. Sure enough, as the sun went down, the light drastically improved. I wanted to stay for the nightly Festival of Lights but I had to get home in time for a phone call for a job interview. I felt kind of goofy having to leave before the “main event” (or so I thought) but resolved to get back there again while the skies were still clear.
Here’s one shot from the 3rd:

Nicely done! That’s a fantastic view point and one I’ll have to visit upon my next visit to HK!
I’m really liking these photos because they capture not only the scenery, but the kind of vibe Hong Kong possesses. Great pics!
Thanks John!
