Long Gio

Maybe I’m the only one in the world who likes this picture.  I took it in December while on speedboat going up the Saigon River to the Cu Chi Tunnels.  Something about that elaborate calligraphy on the side of that dilapidated building?  The way the orange bricks set off against all the greenery?  Does it remind me of a photo I saw elsewhere?  This picture has received zero notice on both Flickr and 500px, which is why I think I’m the only one who likes it.  Maybe a bluer sky would have helped?  I still  think it’s pretty good, even if I’m the only one.

(I just looked up “long gio” on Google Translate – “windswept”.)

I rather like it. It seems to me that nature is slowly reclaiming the building.

I have to admit that I rarely web surf any sites; maybe I’ll have to start!
